Poshan Abhiyan a Govt of India

The Ministry of Women and Child Development project to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers and to reduce the level of stunting, under-nutrition, anaemia and low birth weight in children. The Ministry of Women and Child Development and National Institute of Nutrition were seeking partner for developing online courses to bring awareness on importance of nutrition is rural India, slum dwellers and service provider.

Solution

IMC conceptualize, design and develop e-learning courseware along with NIN- National Institute of Nutrition, who played the role of subject matter experts. IMC team developed the courseware keeping the front-line health workers of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) role in motivating and their involvement with communities to bring the behavioral change in adolescents to mothers, young infants and pre-school children. The scope included role play, detailed infographic, video learning which is considered to be efficient and effective to bring the behavioral change in the community.

IMC team developed Video based e-learning solution, which is considered to be best since the concepts are conveyed visually. The video allows the learning to be more efficient and better memory recall. IMC creative team developed community education video in documentary film format with role plays across the modules with uniform storyboarding, multimedia, animation, sounds track and jingle, integrated assessment to demonstrate importance of right nutrition to target group. The training program was more appealing and efficient method due to it visual and auditory nature of video when compare to standalone learning solution.

The solution included development of mobile learning platform with integrated assessment and certification.
